M.Sc. Biochemistry Entrance Exams

GITAM Institute of Science conducts a national-level entrance exam conducted once a year known as GSAT. GSAT is an objective type exam conducted in an offline mode.

Entrance Exams: BHU-PET, GSAT, JET

The seats for MSc. Biochemistry is very low and in addition it is divided into classes which makes it even tougher to get right into a master’s route in BHU. I don't assume so you'll be capable of seize a seat there. But on the basis of your, it’s difficult to get admission in this college, but you don’t lose hope you can look at the paid seats under the BHU is defined as –

when the students who are willing to take the admission in a particular course in Banaras Hindu University but could not on the basis of their rank then he opted out to pay the extra fee which is called the paid seat system.

Or you can try some other colleges also, for more details to find your best college for M.Sc. Biochemistry you visit this link given below:

Sumedha Bhattacharya 24th Nov, 2021

Dear Student ,

As per 2018 cut off database ,the cut off marks for OBC category in BHU PET exam for M.Sc Biotechnology was 58 . So, according to that .. you have good chances to get admission through BHU PET .

But , remember .. every year the cut off marks/rank can vary due to some unavoidable factors like :

  • Seat Capacity
  • No of students appeared for exam etc.

You can also check the previous year cut off details from this link:

Which Course should I opt Bsc biochemistry or b tech biochemistry which has better scope

Abhishek Roy 22nd Sep, 2021

If your target is not research, dont go behind BSc, instead pursue BTech in Biotechnology, with wider career options in the Industry, Research as well as Academia. Nowadays, irrespective of your Engineering Branch you may develop interest in any field of Interest. Second after BTech, you may directly go for a PhD in your relevant field of Interest unlike BSc Biochemistry, where youll need a MSc. Secondly a broader branch is always good in Undergraduation and helps you explore the different domains of interest, hence BioTechnology will give you a Good exposure.

Ofcourse, incase you plan a Career in Teaching or maybe pursue Government Service Examinations lile UPSC CSE, SSC CGL, State PCS, SBI PO, RBI Grade B, Railways RRB and many others, in that case you may prefer BSc, as after Graduation youll save a year and may start preparation early.

Secondly, Of course if your getting BSc Biochemistry in some of the best Central Universities, again you may prefer that.
