I assume that you are asking about a biotech course at JNU(Jawaharlal Nehru University). JNU does not offer a BSc or BTech in Biotech. For that you will have to take the traditional engineering route exams. JNU does offer a MTech and MSc program in BioTech through JNU

It would be difficult to tell you the exact qualifying cutoff as it varies every year depending on various factors. However, previous year GATE 2018 qualifying cutoff for biotechnology was 25.1 for OBC (NCL). Check the previous year cutoff using the link below-

For biotechnology, you need to have maths as your main subject along with physics, chemistry and biology. Hence you can only apply for the course if you have maths as your main subject in 10+2. 

If you do not have maths as your main subject you can go for BSC

Hey Shruti, Cut off for GATE in Bio-Technology was about 27.9 marks for general category and 25 marks for OBC.

Whereas last to last year it was about 38.9 marks for general category and 35 marks for OBC category.

As expected this year also cutoff trend will remain the same
