Yes, you can drop a year there is no problem but if you are dropping then you will have to study to get a good score and rank. It totally depends upon you if you are ready to drop a year and study the same course then surely

You can prepare for NEET but  it will all depend upon your hardwork,6 months are enough for preparing NEET if your basics are strong then you can easily get a seat in good medical college so just start studying and make sure you thoroughly go through the ncert

As you have not filled any college in option entry, you will not get seat automatically when it is vacant. Getting a seat in a college depends on your rank and number of seats. If still, you do not get a seat, you can attend spot round.
