if anyone got 55% marks then it doesn't matter.if he work hard and practice regular then he achieved good ranks.

12th marks don't show the student mind.

The gap is not a problem if there is a concrete reason behind it. A reason that makes sense. You should be able to explain the reason in an interesting manner. Prepare beforehand for the questions they ask in general and in any case don't tell a fake story
