Whicelectronics and biomedical engineering or

darshita 25th Oct, 2021

hello,

It seems like you have rationally typed your query and it is quite incomplete. You wanted to which is better amongst biomedical engineering or electronics engineering if it is correct, here is the solution.

Biomedical engineering is the application of the principles and problem-solving techniques of engineering to biology and medicine.  It focuses on the advances that improve human health and health care at all levels. So if you like both engineering field plus medical ones then this is best for you.  Biomedical engineers focus on advances in technology and medicine to develop new devices and equipment for improving human health. For example, they might design software to run medical equipment or computer simulations to test new drug therapies.

now talking about electronics engineering which is also a good field but nowadays biomedical field is blooming rather than this one.  Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, or power generation equipment. Electrical engineers also design the electrical systems of automobiles and aircraft.

In india scope of biomedical field is slightly less but abroad this is a good option. However in India ECE or EEE works best apart from CSE ofcourse.

hope this helps!!

Can I Join M.tech in Bio-medical engineering or Environmentakl enginering after did my UG in B.E EEE? I wish to do PHD after completing PG however, I am not interested in EEE stream so wish to change my dept. However, I am not sure that I am in the right path. I am much interested in medical fields.

SRUTHI V 29th Nov, 2021

if you have done your Under Graduation in technology(B.TECH) Then it is possible to do PG Degree in M.Tech bio medical engineering. however some Institutions may demand an UG Degree in medical field or biology field. it depends upon the institution you choose to do your post graduation and the courses offered there. but there is more possibility to get a M.Tech course with bio subdivision like you asked (bio-medical engineering or environmental engineering). And the job opportunities after completing your PG degree shall have high demands of internships in the field you ask for job.

Am I eligible for UGC NET Environmental Science after completing M.tech in Biomedical Engineering?

Vidya Kasi 16th Oct, 2021

Hi

Biomedical engineering is a combination of engineering , life sciences and healthcare.

Aspirants may appear for the examination with the subject in which they have completed their post-graduation or related to that subject as per the UGC NET exam guidelines.

Environmental science is not related to biomedical engineering!

Two organisations conduct NET exams namely UGC and CSIR.

The NET in Major Science Subjects, viz., Chemical Sciences; Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences is conducted jointly with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi.

Most closest to your field of study is life science.

The paper pattern and syllabus of CSIR NET life science could be found in the below link.

https://csirhrdg.res.in/Home/Index/1/InPage/37/26

You can avail the same benefits in CSIR NET as in UGC NET.

Both will make you eligible for lectureship or fellowship or both.

Hope this answers your query!

Is it a bit hard for pcb students to cope up with the syllabus of biomedical engineering as they have not studied maths in class 11 and 12th?

Anirudh Singh 18th Nov, 2021

Hi.

If you have enrolled in an Engineering course, even Biomedical for instance it will require mathematics primarily. It will be a little difficult as you will have to learn the basics of calculus, vectors, probability etc. which are mostly required in engineering courses. However, do not give up and study with guidance of your professors.

Good Luck

is pcb group student eligible to take admission for biomedical engineering if mhcet not given .is their admission based on neet

aswathypadinjakkara 29th Sep, 2021

Hey

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech in biomedical engineering is that the c andidate should have passed Class 12 with Science stream or its equivalent from any recognized board in India with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The qualifying examination must be with Physics, Maths, Chemistry and an extra subject of the student's choice. So you are eligible for the course.

For the admission c andidates have to take an engineering entrance exam and on the basis of the merit list and a cut-off released by the respective exam conducting body. The admission is not based on neet.

To get admission in any of the top colleges in India, candidates need to qualify an engineering entrance exam conducted on national, state and university levels. A few colleges conduct their own respective engineering entrance exams.
