As the marks which you have mentioned is quite impressive and as you are looking for CSE or IT branch which is also one of the famous and most demanding branch of Engineering hence ,you can find it difficult for securing admission in top colleges for specifically this field but definitely seeing your marks i would surely suggest you to try for as many colleges which you are interested for and also get your rank by any rank predictor so it will be very helpful for you to directly compare your rank with the cutoffs of different colleges and can come up with the better idea that where you have a positive sign of securing admission.

Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar provides all the facilities such as smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, sports facilities, hygienic food, library etc. The faculty members are also knowledgeable and supportive. The placement record of college is also good especially for CSE and ECE with highest salary package upto 6 LPA and lowest with 18,000 INR per month in the companies such as Sonic, TCS, Einfochips,  Tatvasoft, Softnautics etc.  But the placement record for Biomedical engineering is not as good as that of CSE.

Unfortunately not.

Bachelor's of engineering focused in Biomedical is not available in Jadavpur University.

The courses offered in the university does not have any biomedical specialization. But Mater of Technology or M.Tech has Biomedical engineering as one of the branch in the Jadavpur University.

There is a huge difference in both of these branches. They are not same to be precise.

See, Biomedical engineering is the engineering in the field of Biomedicine. It is a medical biology courses offered for clinical perspectives. However, it is a very vast and broader degree.

Biochemical chemical enginering is the enginering majorly focused in allied chemical engineering that also includes study of design and production of the biological components and objects.

The subjects and course level is different with different different opportunities to the candidates.

Eligibility criteria:  The candidates are required to pass their class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised board. The subjects must be Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology.

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on successful completion of your VITEEE exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With a rank near to 38,000, you can easily secure a BioMedical seat in Vellore campus in 1st or 2nd fee categories itself as the cut-off for the same was 45,000 in the year 2016. But, the cut-off for the same was 13,000 in the year 2015. So, just participate in their counselling process to know the exact cut-off of this year.
