No, it is not in that way. After completion of 12 th standard from either PCM or PCB stream you can study Biotechnology degree. You can do either B.Sc in Biotechnology or B.E in Biotechnology or B.Tech Biotechnology. You can choose any of the three options mentioned above.

For B.Sc./B.Tech in Biotechnology, PCM is preferred by some of the Best Engineering Institutes, however, having PCM with Biology Additional or PCB with Maths as Non Compulsary/Additional Subject is completely Fine.

M.Sc Biotechnology is not offered through BHU PET but M.Sc Plant Biotechnology is a course in which you get admission through BHU PET. The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed B.Tech Biotechnology or B.Sc Agriculture or B.Sc Biology ( with Botany, Zoology and any other subject)
