No. Your career wont be affected. The only limit you would be face is the subject knowledge. A student opting for masters in biotechnology is expected to know about chemistry maths and biology. Even in the IIT JAM paper you can opt for MSc in biotechnology even with your zoology

Both courses have wide scope and both options will open door to various lucrative career opportunities.If you are interested in biotechnology then go for 3 year degree UG course.It open door for scientists and researchers.
If you are interested in agriculture then go for 4 year degree course.

As of now there is no course introduced called astrobiotechnology in colleges but they do have researched about astrobiotechnology you can look into it. Other than that you have various opportunities in biotechnology.
