Yes! You have to take biology as a main subject in 12th for admission in Btech in biotechnology. SpMaths in this case is optional for you i.e you may take it as a main subject. But without biology you won't be able to pursue Biotechnology.

Well since biotechnology is one course so you would get to do MSc in biotechnology itself. Microbiology and industrial microbiology are separate courses. And hence I would recommend you to go freely for biotechnology as it is one of the most important field these days.
