Hello there!
See for appearing in NEET exam, biology is mandatory.
One must have biology in 10+2 level.
Although people do their 12th again with biology and then appear for the NEET exam.
So decide what you can do.
Although with PCM, there is good scope as well like JEE, B.Sc. etc.
Choose what you want to do.
Good Luck!

sir, im a computer science student , is that possible for me to study biology science (sub) after +2 computer science

Shalini Parimal 21st Aug, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

You may be  or may not be eligible for getting admission to degree of BSc in Biology. It depends on what subject you have studied in class 12 along with computer science. Because if we mainly take degree like BSc in biology, then the eligibility for the course states that candidates seeking admission in B.Sc Biology/Biotechnology must have studied Biology as one of the subjects in class 12. So, if you have studied Biology in class 12 other than computer science then you are eligible for the course else not.

For more information regarding to BSc refer the link below,

Hope it helps.

Someone kindly helped me out. I have studied Biology as Optional subject but Physics and chemistry as compulsory subject in class 10+2. So should I continue my preparation for NEET or get admission in college in Bsc. If I qualify Neet, will Neet authority reject me for this issue. Very worried:(

Subhrajit Mukherjee 18th Aug, 2021

See you didn't have to worry about this. For NEET the eligibility is that you should have Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 10+2 as well as you should have at least 50% marks in 10+2 if you are an unreserved student else you need to have 45% marks in your 10+2 if you are a reserved category student.

in Gujarat board hsc science I got 80 in physics 82in chemistry and 89 in biology in theory and in practical exam out of 50 I got 33 in physics, 37 in biology and 20 in chemistry am I eligible for neet 2021 ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Aug, 2021
Hi

I am assuming you from general category

Yes, you are eligible for neet examination .

This is because,

To be eligible for neet, you should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( theory+ practical)i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st category

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

In Gujarat board theory is of 100marks and practical of 50 marks

Now,

You belong to general category and

Your aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology ( in theory+ practical ) is

= ( 80+33)+ ( 82+37) + ( 89 + 20)

= 341 marks

=( 341/ 450 x 100 )%

= 75.77% i. e more than 50% so you are definitely eligible for neet 2021 examination .

Also,

* to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021

* There is no upper age limit for Neet 2021

* There's no limit for the maximum number of attempts/times one can appear in NEET.

For detailed information about neet examination eligibility go through our page for which link is provided below; -

i am pcmb student, i want to do math hon. please calculate my best 4 marks math - 96 physics-96 chemistry- 95 biology - 93 English-80 physical education- 89 i am very very confuse.

Anurag Khanna 20th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

As you are seeking admission in Maths. Hons so your four subjects for your best score would be considered as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English according to which your total best four percentage comes out to be 91.75%

Let me make you more clear, how the Best four marks are calculated for admissions :-

-->> Marks one language and three academic/elective subjects are taken into consideration.

-->> The three academic/elective subject includes -

** One subject in which admission is sought.

** If you don't mention the same subject in your best 4 in which admission is sought then a disadvantage of 2.5% will be applicable, for admissions in Honors programme.

-->> Two academic/ elective subjects from List A* and in case you do not include the two subjects in best 4 from List A* then you will get -2.5% on your total best 4 percentage.

-->> The subjects included in the calculation of ‘Best of Four’ must have at least 70% theory component and in case the criteria does not met then the marks of theory and practical shall be converted into 70% and 30% on pro rata basis.

* For more details and subjects available in the List A kindly check out the link given below :-

https://university.careers360.com/articles/delhi-university-admissions-how-calculate-best-of-four-marks

You can use DU College predictor tool which will tell you what all colleges you can get based upon your best four percentage :-
