Can we include or is it possible in Delhi University colleges for calculating best four percentage with this combination in cut off 2020 , Physics, Biology , Economics (main ) English ( language) for admission in BSC microbiology or BSc zoology course ?

Akram Khan 10th Sep, 2020

Hi,

According to DU admission eligibility criteria for B.Sc Zoology or microbiology course the eligibility is as follow -

  • 55% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry (Practical & Theory together) and 50% or moremarks in one compulsory language i.e. English.
  • Merit will be calculated based on aggregate percentage in Physics, Chemistry,Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry.

So from the above eligibility criteria a for admission to bsc Zoology or microbiology a candidate should have following subjects combination -

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Biology/Biotechnology/biochemistry
  • English.

So you can not include economics for calculating best four percentage.

Hope it helps.

i got marks in physics 37 , chemistry 37,and in biology 54 ..total 128 ..am i eligible for neet ?(sc)

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 1st Aug, 2020
Hello

With  37 marks in each of Physics and Chemistry, are you pass in both practical and theory examination?

If you are pass both practical and theory examination then yes you are  eligible for Neet examination as

Your aggregate in PCB is
37+37+54
= 128
=(128/300*100 )%
= 42.6% i.e greater than 40% and thus fulfil  Neet eligibility criteria which says that  one must have passed in English and in both the theory and practical of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 40  % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if you belong to sc category

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page for which link is provided below; -

i got compartment in biology...after clearing compartment am i eligible for aiims delhi....for 2021

Arihant kapoor 10th Sep, 2020

Hello Anamta

As long you pass the subject in which you got compartment you are eligible for NEET and also for AIIMS. The only criteria for giving NEET is that you have atleast 50% marks in class 12th for general  and atleast 40% for SC / ST students. So, if you pass your compartment exam and got atleast 50% in class 12th exams, you are eligible for NEET 2021. By applying for NEET you can get admission in AIIMS as there is only one exam from 2020 for taking admission in UG courses in medical stream.

Hope this helps and all the best for future.

I have done My 12th with biology stream, and i dont want to go in medical fields...so what should i take, which course ?

iammohdshareef 9th Sep, 2020
Hello,
.
In such case if you don't want medical field you should even think in which field you are interested in,
.
If you are interested in engineering then may be you aren't eligible for jee but you can choose engineering in different fields like biotechnology, biomedical etc.,
.
If you are interested in banking Jobs opt for CA
.
If you are interested in business, you can choose BBA or b.com
.
If you want a career in government field or political field or want to give UPSC examinations, choose BA this will be best.
.
Do comment if any further question arises. Thank you

Can we include physics , biology , economics and english (language) as Best 4 subjects for calculating cutoff percentage in BSc Microbiology course in Delhi University ?

Prabhav Sharma 9th Sep, 2020

Hello,

Admission in B. Sc. Microbiology will be given on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and merit will be calculated on the basis of aggregate percentage in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry and one language. So, if you include any other subject apart from the one mentioned mentioned above, there will be a deduction of 2.5% from the best of four.

Hope this helps!
