For neet only studying for chemistry and biology is ok

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Jul, 2020
Hello

No it is not ok to study only biology and Chemistry for your Neet examination.

This is because,

Physics carry 180 out of 720 marks in NEET and not preparing physics means losing those 180 marks  i.e preparing for only 720-180 =540 marks and to be honest it is not mandatory that  you will get all the questions in chemistry and Biology correct in NEET examination , so you  can even get less than 500 marks which is not a good score if you want to get a seat in Government Medical College

So, you need to prepare physics as well , as you have very little time for you neet 2020 , I will suggest you to do the following important chapters first for your neet 2020 examination as they have the highest weightage

*Optics - 10% weightage
*Semiconductors- 9%
*Dual nature of matter ,atoms and *nuclei-9%
*Thermodynamics -9%
*Electrostatics-9%
*Current electricity -8%
*Electromagnetic Induction & Alternating Current-8%
*Laws of motion & work power energy-7%
*Magnetic Effect of Current & Magnetism-5%
*System of Particles and Rotational *Motion-5%

You can prepare well using our neet knockout for which link is provided below

I have scored 62 % in 12th exam and aggregate in physics chemistry and biology is 47% am I eligible for neet 2020

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Jul, 2020
Hello

Neet eligibility criteria says that,

to be eligible you must have passed your 12th with English and PCB (pass in both the theory and practical ) with at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if you belong to general category or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st

Now,
Your aggregate in PCB is

= 47% i.e lesser than 50% but more than 40 % so you are not eligible if you belong to general category but you are eligible for neet if you belong to OBC or SC or St as per above aforesaid criteria

My Boards Result Is English-81, Maths-54, Physics-54, Chemistry-50, Biology-66 & Add-64. I Want To Pursue My Studies In BioTechnology & Also Get Prepared For UPSC Exams. Whats The Best Thing I Can Choose? From Where? (Which Institution) (For A Lower Middle Class Family) Other Alternatives?

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 17th Jul, 2020
Hey
If you are interested in Biology you should surely choose a good institution. Since you have mentioned about budget friendly institutions so I will recommend you to try to get admission in a Government College. You can try CUCET to get admission in Central Universities by giving the entrance exam or you can apply for admission in Government Colleges like Asutosh college etc which have biotech. If your score is not allowing you to get selected in these places and you can spend a bit more you can try LPU or Amity or Sharda or KIIT.As far as UPSC goes, taking an online course from Unacademy is as good as an offline tuition. They are good at providing accurate syllabus and is not really expensive either.
I hope this helped.

considering mergence of AIIMS and other exams in neet, what a moderate NEET aspirant who is perfect with NCERT biology and previous years neet questions(phy, che) can score this year in NEET 2020

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 25th Aug, 2020

Hey!

This is a tough question to answer as someone's intelligence can't be judged by any single subject. However, if you are a good student with strong fundamental concepts and has done good pr acting of previous years exams and other mcq questions, then there is a chance that you will surely score higher than half of maximum marks (its just a guess). Also, there is a tip for you, in these last days of exam Try to revise all the concepts and solve as much as queries you can do in a day (at least 100).also, try to solve questions with a timer, set a question with 1-1.4 minutes, not more than that.

Hope it helped to clear your delimma

Thank you

I did my schooling at the Maharashtra state board(hsc)for my 12th i studied English ,pcmb, biology and environmental science as subjects. What subjects can i use to satisfy the 75 percent eligibility criteria for jee mains colleges (i want to exclude biology) or is it the overall of all 7 subjects?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th Jul, 2020

Hello

First of all there's no percentage barrier to be eligible for JEE mains dear so you don't need to bother about it at all.

But yes,

To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs , jee advanced( for iits) one needs at least  75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least  65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or  must be in the top 20 percentile in  class 12 examination.

Only 5 Subjects are to be considered for calculating this aggregate percentage and these are :-

*Physics

*Chemistry

*Mathematics

*A language

*Any subject other than listed above

I got 57 in Physics, 54 in Biology and 37 in Chemistry with +2 Grace marks... Am I eligible for NEET????

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th Jul, 2020
Hello

It doesn't matter whether you have passed your  examination with Grace marks or without grace marks, what matters is that you have passed in chemistry so you don't need to worry about your grace marks.

Now,
Neet eligibility  criteria says that,
to be eligible  you must have passed your 12th with English and PCB (pass in both the theory and practical )  with at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th  examination  if you belong to general category or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st .

Now,
Your aggregate in PCB is
57+54+37
= 148
=(148/300*100 )%
= 49.3% i.e lesser than 50% but more than 40 % so you are not eligible if you belong to general category but you are eligible for neet if you belong to OBC or SC or St as per above aforesaid criteria
