can u do mbbs if u get 130 plus Marks total in physics chemistry and biology in general category

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Jul, 2020
Hello

Admission in mbbs is through neet , now Neet eligibility criteria says that, to be eligible one must have passed in English and in both the theory and practical of PCB with at least50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if you belong to general category , or at least40%in aggregate of PCB if belongs toObc/ Sc /st

So, a general category student like you need at least 50% aggregate in PCB to be eligible

Now,
Your aggregate in PCB is

= 130
=(130/300*100 )%
= 43.3% i.e lesser than 50% , so you don't fulfil above aforesaid % requirement for general category and thus you are not eligible for neet examination and thus you cannot do mbbs

I got 57 in Physics 54 in Biology and 37 in Chemistry so my pcb % is 49.3. but Ive got +2 grace marks so with that grace marks my % becomes 50%. Am I eligible for NEET ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Jul, 2020
Hello

You don't need to worry about your grace marks what matters is that you have passed your chemistry examination  , Grace marks will be considered.

Now , your aggregate in PCB with grace marks in 50 % thus you are eligible for Neet examination as you satisfy Neet eligibility criteria which  says that, to be eligible one must have passed in English and in both the theory and practical of PCB with at least50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if you belong to general category , or  at least40%in aggregate of PCB if belongs toObc/ Sc /st
