physics , chemistry ya biology me se kisi ek subject me 40% se kam marks ho to kya neet me selection nhi hoga

mjaisinghani62 5th Jul, 2020

Hello aspirant

If you are asking about board exam marks , you should secure minimum 50% marks in PCB  ( general Category) ie  total 150 marks in three subjects. If you get more in biology for eg 75 marks in biology and 50 marks in chemistry and 35 marks in Physics then your PCB s ore will be 75 + 50 + 35 = 160 . You will be eligible.

My total marks of physics, chemistry and biology are 114/300 but my overall percentage are more than 50 then Can I give NEET exam??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 5th Jul, 2020

Hello

Neet eligibility  criteria says that,
to be eligible  you must have passed your 12th with English and PCB (pass in both the theory and practical )  with at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th  examination  if you belong to general category or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st

So , it is your PCB aggregate which matters and not overall percentage.

Now , you have got 114/300 in PCB i.e 38 % and thus not eligible for neet as you fail fulfill the aforesaid percentage criteria

Is biology is compulsory to become an astronaut or physics, chemistry, maths is enough to become an astronaut

Sikkandarbatcha M 3rd Jul, 2020

No, In order to become an astronaut you should choose Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects in 12th. You need to have great mathematics skills. You also need to maintain a good academic record. After 12th you can choose a course in Physics, Chemistry, Maths, or Aerospace Engineering. Do a postgraduation.

After you are done with graduation, you can sit for the exam, which is held by NASA for the recruitment of scientists and astronauts. Or in order to join ISRO, one needs to clear the Joint Entrance Exam which is held by the IITs.

I hope it helps.
