how can i memorize biology very well?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Jun, 2020

Hi

Biology is a  subject in which you have to first understand the concept of different  biological process, their mechanism etc and then remember it.

Follow the below tips to remember or memorize things in biology:-

  • First of all go through the chapter well and focus on understanding the different process etc as you cannot remember something which you have not understood

  • Use techniques like mnemonics to remember things  .

For example,  you can remember different stages of mitosis and their sequence  by the mnemonics PMAT which means prophase, metaphase,  anaphase ,telophase

  • There are many times when remembering things can be difficult but a picture or a diagram of the same makes it very easy , so you can take the help of diagrams

  • Revise things again and again  after regular intervals, for example read chapter then revise it next day then after week then after  a month .

Thank you

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 7th Jun, 2020

To help you with your NEET preparation, we have NEET Knockout packages that you can check at: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/. Biology is the biggest section in NEET, comprising about half of the exam, and acing this subject can help you in scoring more in the exam. Human Physiology and Genetics have maximum weightage in NEET. It is advisable to practise questions of Genetics from previous year question papers, which will give you a thorough understanding of how the questions are being asked. Topics of Plant and Animal kingdom have a lot of portion to memorize. You can prepare these topics by making a comparative table for the sub-topics and studying it together. Plant physiology is also equally important and easy to score. For more tips, please visit our page at: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/how-prepare-for-neet-biology .

objective biology of dinesh publication is good for neet 2021 ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 6th Jun, 2020
Hi

Objective biology by Dinesh is good for getting knowledge but when it comes to preparing for Neet examination using Dinesh objective Biology then it is not recommended .
This is because,
it has  too much of unnecessary details which will be never asked in NEET examination, also the MCQs pattern is not up to the level of Neet examination.

For Neet Biology you can follow the given below books:-

  • NCERT Biology Class XI and Class XII "- Master it as around 95 % questions in neet biology are based on ncert , also focus on diagrams while going through NCERT Biology.

  • NCERT at your fingertips by mtg :- best for practicing MCQ for your neet

  • Trueman biology :- good for understanding topics which is difficult to understand from NCERT

Solve previous year questions papers and mock test papers once you are done with complete syllabus

Thank you

Samarth Jain 16th Jul, 2020

I am really sorry but for qualifying for NEET, or any other medical entrance, you require atleast a 50% aggregate (UR) or 40% (SC, ST, OBC) in the subjects PCB.

Other courses are:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • B Sc Nursing
  • B Sc Biotechnology
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy
  • Bachelor in Medical Lab Technology
  • Paramedical Courses like Forensic
  • Bachelor in Arts
  • BA LLB
  • Travel and Tourism
  • Fashion Technology
  • Hotel Management
  • Bachelor of Business Administration
  • B Com

So there are various options available to choose from. And if a person has taken PCB doesn't mean that he/she cannot opt for a course in a different background. You have various good options available, just work hard, and aim towards success, All the Best.

my score for physics is 39 chemistry is 38 and biology is 48 am I eligible for neet and CET exams?

Tanvi Bhavesh Shah 16th Jul, 2020

Hello!

NEET eligibility marks to be considered in 12th are an aggregate of PCB subjects and for CET is the aggregate of PCM scores.

According to the scores that you have scored your PCM aggregate is 125.

Certainly you aren't eligible for NEET or CET because you need and aggregate of 50% of your PCB scores.

You will be eligible only if you belong to OBC/SC/ST categories as the eligibility criteria for theses categories is 40% which is a total of 120 marks of your aggregate.

Hope this helps you!

Madhuvarshini.R 16th Jul, 2020

Hello aspirant,

It is appreciated that you are showing your interest towards learning agriculture. Admissions for TNAU is purely based on merit. However TNAU considers marks scored in all four subjects.(pcmb)

The Eligibility Criteria is solely based on the Category distribution. It varies accordingly as 55%, 50%, 40% aggregate as per the Category you're representing. Since, it is a merit based process, the cut off marks may vary depending on several factors such as No.of.applications, The over all cut-off, Available no of seats. You've come up with the percentage of 81, it is well and good to choose your priority wisely. Have your priority list as per the ranking of the colleges, and there are plethora of chances to get admissions in the top ranking colleges. The best colleges, I would suggest is;

  1. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) - Coimbatore
  2. Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute - Trichy
  3. Agricultural College and Research Institute - Coimbatore
  4. Agricultural College and Research Institute - Killikulam
  5. Agricultural College and Research Institute - Thanjavur
  6. Agricultural College and Research Institute - Vazhavachanur
  7. The Gandhigram Rural Institute Deemed University - Dindigal
  8. Imayam Institute of Agriculture and Technology (IIAT) -Trichy
  9. Kumaraguru Institute of Agriculture (KIA) - Erode
  10. College of Agriculture Technology (CAT) - Theni
