I am a PCMB student from WB board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Bengali as core subjects and Mathematics as optional subject. I passed in all 5 core subjects with a total score of 324 out of 500 (65%) but failed in Mathematics, Result status (PASSED). Am i eligible for neet?

Aakanksha 12th Aug, 2022
Hi aspirant
As you have already passed in your core subjects, and kaths was an additional subject, you need to worry. The eligibility criteria for NEET is that you need to have passed in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English as core subjectes. Hence, you are eligible to appear for the NEET examination. Furthermore the eligibility criteria for Neet 2023 is:
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subjects.
- The candidate must have attained the age of 17 years as on 31st December 2023.
Now in order to qualify for the exam, you need to score a percentile as per your category, in order to be eligible for admission to state government/private medical/dental colleges.
The qualifying criteria is as follows:
UR: 50th percentile
OBC/SC/ST : 40th percentile
PwD: 45th percentile

Hope this answers your query
All the best:)

maine 12 2022 mai complete ki hai biology se abb mai dubara 12 maths se karna chahti hun but iss baar bina physics or chemistry kai kya kar sakti hun mai

Aditya kumar 11th Aug, 2022

hlwo aspirant

hope you are doing well

it's nearly impossible ro complete 12th again by just choosing only math subject.

you have to complete your 12th with physics, chemistry, math and English with an another additional subject like computer science or information technology (IT).

but you can apply only for mathematics examination of 12th from NIOS through on demand examination policy. It will be better to contact NIOS offices to the on demand examination policy.but keep in mind that you can not chose stream in 12th class while repeating. What subjects you had, you will have to chose the same one. You can not ask for science subject. If you really want B.Sc then again study class 10th & then opt for science subject in 11th & 12th.

hope this is helpful for you

all the very best to your upcoming future

in class 12 theory + pratical marks physics 49 and chemistry 50 biology 53 marks these are total marks out of 100 and i am in general category so iam eligibile in neet these marks are total theory and pratical

rajeevanand843 8th Aug, 2022

Dear aspirant

The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2022 exam is separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects

UR - 50%,

OBC/SC/ST - 40%,

PWD - 45%

if we calculate your aggregate marks of PCB subject then it is 49+50+53 = 152/300 which is 50.666% means you have aggregate marks greater than required marks in unreserved category (gen) .

so yes ofcourse you are eligible for giving NEET exam and taking admission in various medical course through the neet entrance exam.

you can check other details about eligibility criteria for neet from link below

hope it's helps you

I got 51 marks in physics, 51 marks in biology, 39 marks in chemistry in 12th standard in 2019. Now I have completed BSc MLT. Am I eligible for NEET 2023?

Anurag Khanna 8th Aug, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

As per the marks mentioned by your, your aggregate in PCB comes out to be 47% so if you belongs to SC/ST/OBC/PwD then only you are eligible for admissions through NEET UG score and you are qualified for NEET UG otherwise with General category you are not eligible because for 10+2 or equivalent you need to have a minimum aggregate in PCB as per your category which is described below and also you need to pass overall in 10+2 or equivalent :-

>>>>> You need to pass separately in theory as well as in practical of PCB.

>>>>> If you belongs to General/UR category then your aggregate of PCB (Theory + Practical) should be equal to or more than 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for PwD).

>>>>> You should be pass in English subject as well.

>>>>> Your minimum age should be more that or equal to 17 years by December 31st of the examination year, as per the current eligibility criteria.

>>>>> Now there is no upper age limit for NEET UG.

If you are preparing for NEET then to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

Also as you have completed B.Sc. in MLT as your UG programme so now you are graduate but due to unavailability of Physics from aforesaid course your highest qualification with PCB remain 10+2 so for NEET UG 2022 your qualification code is 02 .

For your reference I am enlisting down the purpose of other NEET UG 2022 qualification codes as well :-

>>> Code 01 :- If the candidate has appeared for 10+2 or it's equivalent examination but the result is awaited.

>>> Code 02 :- If the candidate has already passed 10+2 or it's equivalent examination with PCB and English subjects.

>>> Code 03 :- The candidates can choose this code if they have passed their Intermediate/Pre-Examination degree in Science stream from any recognized Indian University/Board or other body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as a compulsory subject. Practical exams should also be there.

>>> Code 04 :- The candidate can choose this code if he/she has completed pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English after passing either the Higher Secondary examination or Pre-university or equivalent exam. Practical exams should also be there.

>>> Code 05 :- The candidate who has passed the first year of a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology inclusion of practical tests

>>> Code 06 :- Any aspirant who has passed B.Sc. examination with not less than two subjects which includes Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry. Apart from this the candidate must have passed 10+2 or it's equivalent with PCB and English as compulsory subjects.

>>> Code 07 :- If the candidate passed any other examination, which is equivalent to intermediate science examination of any university/board, can opt code 7 as NEET code 2022 .

sir /mam physics marks 49 chemistry 50 biology 53 theory + pratical combined marks and i am in obc category so i am eligible for NEET EXAM

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Aug, 2022

Hi

Your practical + theory marks is considered for neet.

Yes, you are eligible for neet examination.

This is because,

=    152 marks

=( 152/  300  x  100 )%

I scored 67 in biology, 66 in chemistry and 47 in physics in class 12 and it passed with 65% including 5 subjects, am i eligible for neet?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 4th Aug, 2022

Hi

When it comes to Neet then only your PCB aggregate percentage matters and not your over all aggregate of 5 subjects

Yes, you are eligible for neet examination.

This is because,

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

Now,

Considering your category as general,

Your aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  is

=    47 +     66   +    67

=    180 marks

=( 180/  300  x  100 )%

= 60 % i. e more than 50% so you are definitely eligible  for neet   examination .

Also,
