what are the steps to become a doctor for a biomedical engineer??

Naufal Mohamed 7th Jan, 2020
Technically you will have to take MBBS to become a doctor and not bio medical engineering. So I'll assume that you are asking about doing a PhD in biomedical engineering.
There are a very few colleges that offer bio medical engineering directly for undergraduation. It would be advisable to do B.Tech in Bio Technology and then do M.Tech in Bio Medicine. If you score a good gpa (8 or more) in B.Tech, some colleges let you do PhD directly (without masters).

eeshaakula_9673611 Student Expert 12th Jul, 2019

hi!

it depends completely on the degree you are looking to pursue.

You cannot do an engineering degree as for all engineering degrees you require mathematics as a compulsory subject

But you can opt for A b.SC and many other degrees are available to be chosen from.

This course good or bad I am choose this course or not

harshita_1558773432 Student Expert 8th Jul, 2019

Hey Vicky

B.E. Biomedical Engineering is a 4-year UG course with a specialization in the field of biomedical and related aspects. The minimum eligibility criterion which most of the institutes ask for is a score of at least 50% (relaxable for reserved category candidates) at 10+2.

The fee for the course varies between INR 50,000 to INR 4, 50,000 in India.Biomedical Engineering admissions involve Common Entrance Test (CET) based selection method as well as merit-based selection criteria. In this profession you may look for job opportunities such as Bio-Medical Technician, Bio-Medical Engineer, Bio Chemist, Teacher etc. After completion of graduation, you can pursue further studies like M.E. and M.Phil. The average salary ranges between INR 12,000 to 15,000 a month. So if you really have keen interest in this subject you should go for this.

Hope you find this helpful. Feel free to ask any other query.
