Dear Vraj, any company when it mentions your salary talks about it Annually. So when they quote a package for any designation, it is always Gross Salary for a year. It is callrd Cost to the Company in other words CTC. So when they say, CTC it means that the company is willing to spend this certain amount on you annually. However that is not what you take home. For example, if the CTC is 6 lakhs per annum, you dont take home 50,000Rs every month. That is because 6 lakhs is your gross salary and not Net salary. Your gross salarybis like a raw budget alloted for you before any taxes, bonus, PF, other components, etc. So when they say CTC, it is your Annual salary and also never forget to ask what your Net salary or take home would be.
