According to previous years' data and statistics, the closing rank for Biomedical Engineering in the Vellore campus of Vellore Institute of Technology was 45000 for the year 2016 and 13000 for the year 2015. This stream is not offered in the Chennai campus.

Even after applying for any Institute, any branch, any college you can still attempt any exams you are interested in. There would be no specifications as such. The better of both can be considered for joining.
Hence there is no limit to this.
