There is no particular exam to enter research field biotechnology.First of all you will have to to B.Sc in biotechnology then M.Sc and after that you will have to go for PhD from a well reputed university or institution because without PhD you cannot even enter in the research

Hi Archi,

I assume that you are asking about a biotech course at JNU(Jawaharlal Nehru University). JNU does not offer a BSc or BTech in Biotech. For that you will have to take the traditional engineering route exams. JNU does offer a MTech and MSc program in BioTech through JNU

For biotechnology, you need to have maths as your main subject along with physics, chemistry and biology. Hence you can only apply for the course if you have maths as your main subject in 10+2. 

If you do not have maths as your main subject you can go for BSC

Here's NEET eligibility criteria :

Qualifying Exam
10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subject in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized board.

Qualifying Marks
UR - 50%, OBC/SC/ST - 40%, PWD - 45% (minimum aggregate marks only for PCB subjects)
