Sir first of all let ur son choose his branch based on his passion. Then look out for colleges where u can get that branch. Do not compromise branch for the college u choose. Acc. to the info mentioned above, I would say that u look for the best NITs
There are different cutoff for different branches. If you can clear that cutoff rank, and have 60% or above in 10+2 you can opt for that branch during counselling.
