With a score of 283, you won't be able to get a branch in Pilani campus. You may have a slight chance for Manufacturing Engg. In Goa campus, you can get Chemical Engg. And, in Hyderabad campus, you can get Chemical, Civil and Manufacturing Engg. etc. Go through
The cutoff basically depends on the level of difficulty of the question paper .it does not depend on the previous year cutoff or something like that. The cutoff is basically for different branches. Thats it.
