Hello Humayun,
Thats a good score and you can get many good colleges in and around Tamil Nadu. Though the general cutoff for several colleges are high you can check community cutoff in TNEA website. I think you might get colleges like , Rajalakshmi college of engineering , Sairam College of engineering , ST Joseph college of engineering and St joseph of college of technology etc. I suugest you to give a try to coimbatore colleges too, they're also equally good.
All the best
Cheers
Hello.
For the admission for M.Sc. (hons) from BITS Pilani candidates should have completed their higher secondary level of education in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate of 75% in each subject. Candidates who are appearing for the final exam can also apply. Candidates who have completed their higher secondary level of education in the year 2011 or those who are appearing for the final year exam in the year 2012 are only eligible for the exam. Admissions are purely made on merit basis. Merit is based on the score obtained by the candidate in the Birla Institute of Technology and Science admission test (BITSAT)
The candidate should apply online for the test. The forms will be available by the mid week of May in the official website of the institute.
If you. Ant the number of Pilani campus then you can visit their official website and you will find their mail and contact.
Hope this is helpful.
Good luck.
Dear aspirant
First of all, to clarify your doubt, you need to know that there isn't only 1 IIT/BITS. Currently there are 23 IITs and 3 BITS colleges in our country. So you can't just randomly compare the 2 tags.
Coming to your question, comparision between IITs and BITS tells us that both are equally good. The difference comes when you consider various aspects like academic records, fee structure, placements, campus, location, city preference, club activities etc. Both the college types provide ample oppurtunities, for academics as well co-curricular activities. It depends on what factors you give priority to and what you care about. Both the tags have great value and are amongst the best engineering colleges in our country. Also, both these tags have great world rankings.
You can compare any of the IITs with any other IIT/BITS. Click on the link given below

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact us for any further doubts.
Hey, i would suggest the latter. Because just going for the iit tag name would mean nothing if the course is not relevant enough. Eventualy you will still be an iit graduate but without a job. Take up more relevant stuff from other good colleges. UNLESS you want to do something that the iit is offering. Then do it. No further thinking. The college name shouldnt matter if you are getting to learn what you want.
