I have got 92% in board and 271 marks in bitsat exam can I get admission in BITS college

rishabritab100_9306688 Student Expert 1st Jun, 2019

Hi ! Yes as per your performance you can get any college of bits. There are three campus under bits which are Goa campus, Hyderabad campus, bits Pilani and the other is in Dubai. Through your rank you can get bits Pilani with any core stream, don't hope for CSE, ECE or computing and maths. In Goa you can still have slight chance to get CSE or ECE depending on number of students and the cut off. So best of luck to you.

Is BITS or VIT has is good for aerospace / aeronautical engineering?

Lakshay Katyal 1st Jun, 2019
Hi Adarsh,
Any campus of Bits, namely Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad, do not offer any courses for Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering. Similar is the case with any campus of VIT. Thus, we are left with no valid comparison. For more information about colleges offering these courses, visit this link:

Hope this helps.
Good luck!

Can I get bits pilani cs at score of 382?

Charan Tej 31st May, 2019

Hi Nimit,

It is difficult to get into BITS Pilani that too into CS with a score of 382, as the cutoff was around 420+ the previous year. If you want to join in BITS Pilani only then you can join in BSC easily rather than BE with your score.

However, the cut-offs are a little low for BITS Goa and BITS Hyderabad which are almost as good as Pilani branch, so you can try for them.

As the previous years cut off for BE CS in BITS Hyderabad was around 370, you have a chance to get into BITS Hyderabad.

All the best...!!!

What is the scope of bits Hyderabad chemical or civil engineering?

Roma Kaur 31st May, 2019

Hello Aspirant

No doubt that BITS Hyderabad has a good reputation to it and this ensures that the alumni of the college has better opportunities. The degrees in civil or chemical engineering are good but the scope is limited in the current scenario. There are many different options –

A) Go for research  only if very passionate(in this process you will definitely will be ruining your life as opportunities for good projects are slim in this field). And don't opt for M.S, you will be wasting your time and money.

B) Skill set required to work under private companies and corporations)

C) Best options will be -

I) start coding

II) prepare for MBA(chances here are also less, because you are an engineer)

The placements for this degree are also limited. There are not many companies coming for chemical and civil engineers.

Best of luck

Congrats for your score it seems good marks.

The Campus you mentioned are good and for your mark as per last year except 5 to 6 courses you can get all other course in any of this campus.

Try Pilani which is more better if your required course is available in that campus.

I get 74.6686600percentile in obc will I get any nits or bits

Saksham 31st May, 2019

Hey Aftab,

To begin with, JEE percentile will not get you in any of the Bits. For bits, you need to appear for BITSAT. Also, I am afraid to say that 74.66 percentile in obc category will not fetch you any nits in the first instance. You might have a chance to get into DTU or NSIT through the spot round, however the chances are very low with that percentile. However to apply for spot round, you need to apply for JAC counselling. Also, in the spot round you might not end up with branches like CSE OR ECE, hence I woud like to recommend you to take an year off and prepare for JEE or else look for a private college like VIT or SRM.

Myself soumya Upadhyay I got 305 marks in bitsat which subject i got in bits pilani. What is better for me

Shubh 31st May, 2019
Hi,
On the basics of last year BITS Pilani you may get all the subjects except CS branch , mechanical branch , electrical and electronics, electronics and instrumentation and M.sc Economics.
It depends on you in which course you are interested in if your are interested in only CS then you need to score 330+ to get admission in any campus of BITS.
But you must see your in which course you are interested in then choose your branch wisely.

Nivesh Pai 31st May, 2019
Hello Siva,
As  a general rule all the students are treated equally at all colleges including bits Pilani. As a added factor there is no reservation category and management quota in BITS college. You have to get a seat completely based on your merit and not through reservation or getting a management seat. All the students are treated with respect and there is a culture of oneness. Meritorious student after first year scoring among the top 10% students are waived off their fees partially or fully depending on the conditions.

how much rank should we get to study in cse group in BITS pilani and even in PES University Bangalore

Nivesh Pai 31st May, 2019
Hello Ken,
To get CSE branch in any of the bits colleges your scored should be greater than 350+. With a score of 350+ you can get your desired branch including CSE. If you are trying CSE for pes university bangalore your rank should be within the top 5000. The cutoff marks above are prescribed based on previous year cutoff. They may vary based on the difficulty of the examination, number of students appearing for the exams and many such factors.
