If you have a strong passion in Aerospace Engineering, you must surely follow that field. However, I would like to say that if you take aerospace now, there would be no turning back as it is a specialization field. Another alternative for you to reach aerospace industry is by doing B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and the Masters in Aerospace Engineering as it would then be safe for you as later if you want you can change your specialization stream. Also, an aerospace engineer from Top IIT's surely get lavishly paid and has immense respect in the industry.

As per your query , I would glad to inform you that  IET lucknow somewhat parallely with the josaa counselling or you can say after the second round of NITs and it will beneficial for you because top students will go into NITS ,IITS and number of applicants will become less hence it will reduce the competition

According to previous years cutoff, for mechanical branch, overall you have to get a rank below 313 .

For Gate above 600 should be enough to get you for Mechanical in design engineering. And if you score above 550 then you are eligible for applying in BITS Pilani. And recent news says for Mechanical, you need to score at least 284 in BITSAT.

As your rank is 25000 in OBC category still there is some less chances of you to get in some reputed government College through All India quota and state quota. The placement packages of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad varies according to the branch/stream. Although, their placements are really good. Like, in last year the average package for CSE was about 10.93 LPA and their highest package was of 25 LPA. For the other branches it's approximately 8-12 LPA. So, the placement packages depends upon your branch.

Their placements are amazing no doubt.

in bitsat you will not get any good branch

but you also appear in jee main counseling and fill preferance of college wisely.

According to the cutoff of 2020, you can get bachelor of engineering civil, manufacturing. Bachelor of Pharmacy, MSc biological, chemistry, chemical, mechanical etc. These are the cutoffs of BITS Pilani Goa and Hyderabad.
