BIT MESRA is a very good GFTI whose average package is around 9.11 lacs / annum and it increases for ECE and goes upto 10lacs/ annum. Almost every MNCs visit BIT mesra.
IIIT jabalpur is also good but not upto the mark with BIT MESRA. It's nirf ranking is

Based of previous cutoff criteria a score of between 250-300 is required to easily get into bit in a good course . Based on your son's score he might have a chance if cutoff of this year would be around 220.
