For BIT Mesra, you can appear for any of the following exams as it accepts scores of the following exams: (I have also indicated the minimum percentile needed for getting a shortlist for GD-PI-WAT, source: BIT Mesra website)

1.) CAT: 40 percentile (35 for SC/ST)
2.) XAT: 40 Percentile

See not only bits pinali but all the big institutes like iits and nits your minimum percentage is 75% and maximum can be anything. So try hard to get more than 75%. All the best!

If they have provided you with two dates than for clearing confusion regarding this you should go on 14th and if they ask you to come on 17th also than go on 17th too. Also you can contact them regarding same.
