There are two ways to join PSG TECH,
Through Anna University Counselling, provided you have good cut-off marks. During counselling there are two type of seats available for PSG Tech, not sure about other colleges. One with Government Sponsored Seat, the other one not sponsored by
Its fully depends on ur category.
if u have reserved category student..or have financial problem.
Then ur jee main rank is very good. U can easily get best branch in best college(NITs) according to ur choice.
A general category students also get core branch after top NIT's.

Being a KVPY scholar, I would definitely suggest you to drop one year and study sincerely. But if you think that you will not be able to concentrate for one yr then do not attempt to drop, just join BIT Mesra and improve yourselves there...
