Im a NEET dropper , preparing for 2023. I answered my board exam in 2022 and scored 65% although I didnt gave neet this year coz my preparation was not good. Now I have joined a coaching but I think I wont be able to do it. How can I get admission in bsc biotechnology? Plz guide me.

Aakanksha 13th Aug, 2022
Hi aspirant
First of all, ahy do you think you can't do it. You have still got so much of time. You just have to study. This is so much better than any other course you are thinking of right. I'm pretty sure that once you determine and face everything with courage you'll eventually succeed. You just have to work harder and smarter. I might say all this but it's gonna be you who has to perform, who has to study. So I would say take another thought and then turn to what your mind says.
Now, BSc Biotechnology is an undergraduate degree programme. It is 3 years long. It if offered by various universities in the country.
Admission to it can be merit based or entrance based
Entrance exams conducted by various universities are:
  • DUET
  • KIITEE
  • SAAT
  • KCET

However BSc Biotechnology admission is primarily done on the basis of merit list. Few of the top colleges/universities conduct entrance exams to carry out the admission process smoothly.
Now, how to apply for admission to BSc Biotechnology.
Colleges offering merit-based admission release the cutoff marks for the students based on their merit. They consider the entrance exam score for cut-off.
After a successful counselling session, students will get selected and have to take final admission for which one may be required to go through the GD/PI round.
The candidate has to finalize the admission by presenting relevant documents and by paying the admission fee.
Here are some of the top BSc Biotechnology colleges:

  • Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi
  • Fergusson College,Pune
  • St. Xaviers College, Ahmedabad
  • Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Jaipur
  • JSS Academy of Higher Studies and Research, Mysore

Hope this helps you
All the best :)

I have got 105 marks in kcet 2022 pcmb and 360 in board exam can I get bsc agri

Neamah Fathima M R 29th Jul, 2022

Hi,

Kcet is an entrance exam conducted by Karnataka government for admission to various courses in Karnataka.

It is difficult to protect the exact rank from your marks since it changes every year based on different factors like

Number of candidates appeared for examination.

Top score for that particular year.

Total number of seats available.

According to the details provided by you your expected rank range will be 2500 to 3000.

According to the cut offs of 2018 2019 2020 and 2021 you have less chances for getting admission for Bsc agriculture since all the closing ranks of almost every colleges are below 10000. But it can't be so sure since the cutoff can change every year.

They above mention the range is a predicted range based on previous year cutoffs.

Hello mam I have scored 211 in Pcm in board exam and Kcet 63 what rank will expect?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 28th Jul, 2022

Hello,

If we consider KCET 2022 marks vs rank trend your overall rank is expected to be in between 15000-25000 with 63 marks out of 180 marks in KCET. The actual rank is subjected to change as there are various factors that influence the rank such as total number of candidates appeared, normalization of marks, tie breakers, highest score in the exam, marks scored in KCET and qualifying examination that is 10+2. Please wait until KCET results are declared to know your actual rank. Keep an eye on updates from time to time. To check KCET Marks vs rank analysis click on the link below

if I have a 50000 wbjee rank and 70percentage in west bengal 12 board exam can I got admission in mckv institute of engineering liluah and can I take computer science for further studies and also what will the amount required for doing complete btech

Roshni 6th Sep, 2022
Hi,

See, if we go by 2021 cutoff, the closing rank for Computer Science Engineering in Round 3 was 22185 in MCKV Institute of Engineering. You mentioned your WBJEE 2022 rank is 50k so looks like your chances are pretty less. But you can always add this college during the WBJEE choice filling process.

However, you have a chance of getting CSE in Techno International Rajarhat (closing rank 50.3k) and Techno International Batanagar (closing rank 63k). Since these are colleges under Techno India Group you will get a lot of exposure to different opportunities, like you mentioned of higher studies.

In MCKVIE for 4-year B.Tech course total fee is Rs. 4 lakhs.
While, in a Techno India college 4-year B.Tech total fee is Rs. 6.3 lakhs.

I hope that was helpful.

As per the marks mentioned by you in the question your rank in KCET 2022 is expected to be under 1000 .  But note that this is not your exact rank because it is not yet released and the rank predicted above is on the basis of previous year's data.
