I don't get your question dear. Because 12th class examination if you fail then you have to appear for next year or only clearance the fail subject that is after few months. But you said 12th classe fail. I think you want to know about the 12th class test

see the rules for appearing in improvement exam differs as per board wise. according to cbse, regular candidates are eligible to appear in improvement exam for one or more subjects in the succeeding year, how ever one cannot appear for improvement exam in those subjects which has compartment.
