is it compulsory to give Pre board exam?

Mallika Thaledder 16th Feb, 2024

The compulsion of pre-board exams depends on the school you're studying at. Pre-board exams are internal practice exams conducted by schools to help students prepare for the final board exams.

i am sri chaitanya clg 11th class i have two tenions 1. i am very fear about my board exam of 2021 i was very confused that within two months what to study. i am very feared about that. 2.i studied very good i do hard work of this week end exam but on writting exam i forgot every thing

Anirudh Singh 10th Jan, 2021

Hi.

First of all, you do not need to panic. Believe in yourself and what you studied.

Did you mis-type class 11th? As there are no boards examinations in class11. If you are in class 11 then you should not worry final examinations, internal examinations are relatively easier because they are prepared by the teachers of concerned institute.

If you are referring to class 12th, then 2 months are more than necessary for board preparations if you start right now. Here are a few tips that you can consider:

1. Select the right time to start preparing for board exams

2. Good timetable will make the preparations easy

3. Sufficient time should be devoted to self-study

4. Make a strategy to learn long answers for the board exam

5. Practicing previous years’ question papers prepares you better for the upcoming challenge

I hope this helps.

Good Luck

Will 60% in board exam leave bad impression during afmc interview? I got 600 in neet exam this year and took a drop to increase my marks .

Anurag Khanna 9th Jan, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Very first thing I would like to clear you that percentage of class 12th is merely the qualification percentage to be eligible for admission to AFMC and as you have scored 60% marks in class 12th boards then if this marks are the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and also if you have scored more than 50% in English subject then you are eligible for admission to AFMC.

Now on such marks in NEET you have not much chances of getting seat in AFMC according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that last year the lowest cut-off marks was 596 for AFMC for Boys. And this year the cut-offs have slightly been increased for around 40-60 marks for every institution, so according to it you have slight less chances to get AFMC. Also as you have mentioned that you took a drop then I would personally recommend you to set your target for at least 660 marks in NEET 2021 out of 720 and to help you out in your NEET preparation we have some resources made by our experts which you can checkout from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/?product=50&icn=knockout-neet-2021-may&ici=

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-afmc

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor because it will make you comfortable while choice filling in counselling :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

I take admission in afmc with only 60% in board exam. has anyone got admission with such percentage in boards?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Jan, 2021

Hi

I am guessing that you are asking about MBBS in afmc.

You have just mentioned that you have got 60% in overall in your class 12th board examination

But,

when it comes to be eligible for MBBS in afmc then your overall class 12th board examination marks or percentage is not considered, onlyy your aggregate percentage in PCB i. e physics chemistry and Biology and individual percentage in each of physics chemistry and Biology and English is considered.

You can check the eligibility criteria of FMC for MBBS which is provided below :-

As per eligibility criteria of AFMC to be eligible you should pass all the subjects in your class 12th in your first attempt  with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must  get at least 60% in aggregate of PCB  i. e Physics, Chemistry and Biology  and at least 50% marks in English and 50% marks individually in each of PCB , also should have studied and passed maths in the class 10th.

So, if you meet this percentage requirement then you will be eligible for MBBS in AFMC

Also,
You must be at least 17 years of age by 31st December of the year in which you application, for example if you are applying in 2021 then to be eligible you should be at least  17 years old by 31st December 2021. Also, you must not be more than 24 years of age.

You can check the same at its official page , the link for the same is provided below

https://www.afmc.nic.in/courses/mbbscourse.html

Selection in AFMC i.e Armed Forces Medical College ,Pune is through neet i.e
students are shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in neet

In 2019 , 596 marks was required  for boys and 610 marks in neet was required for girls to get into AFMC

But ,
cut off marks keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc

So,
If you want to get into afmc, you need to have at least   650 marks in neet 2021 examination to be on the safer side

After qualifying neet cut off of AFMC , you will have to give some additional examination to get admission in AFMC , that is :-

*Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic, and Reasoning which is called ToELR,

*Psychological Assessment Test i.e. PAT,

* Interview

After clearing these, finally you will have to go through your Medical Examination then finally you are selected for admission in AFMC.

Shrishty sahu 6th Jan, 2021
Dear student,
Many students have not yet received their class 12th admit cards as they would be appearing for it in the year 2021. They are advised to leave the space blank where one needs to fill in his/her class 12th roll number. That option is only for the students who have passed class 12th in the previous years, everybody else has to leave it blank.
