I have 74.6% in my 12 board exam because I have 65 marks in Chemistry and 70 in physics, so if I will give only these 2 subjects improvement exam in 2021 then these 2 subjects marksheet will be accepted by iits/nits/bitsat during admission or I have to give all 5 subjects improvement exam?

Hey

The improvement exam is given for the specific subject only in which you wish to improve your grades, better than your original ones. It's not required that you have to give improvement exam for every subject.

To be eligible for admission in NITs one needs at least  75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least  65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or  must be in the top 20

Hello

There's no percentage barrier to be eligible for JEE mains

So , with 74.6 % you are definitely eligible for JEE Mains exam ination , so  you don't need to appear for improvement examination to be eligible for JEE Mains

Hello Asprint,
For the best chance of getting a NIT,you need to be in atleast 30,000 or even 45,000 will work for low NITs if you are a OBC/Sc/St.But not more than 50,000 rank is recommendable.

Yes, your brother can apply for B.Tech CSE or B.Tech Fire & Safety also. As, he has applied for B.Tech previously, he is eligible. I mean to say that the eligibility criteria for all the B.Tech branches are just the same.

You haven't mentioned whether you belong to OBC-NCL or OBC-CL, if you come under OBC-CL then you are considered as general category. Your overall category rank is expected to be around 6084 and you can calculate it by the formula (100-your total percentile)*112679/100 where 112679 is the total number
