It does not matter if you have studied from a cbse board schol or a bihar board scool as long as you score good in your boards and have  agood command over the English language to study abroad. Further, yo have to apply for tests like GRE, TOEFL etc

the mark is absolutely valid. but in some cases it is not really considered.

if you have got more marks in improvement exam then your previous paper is valid, but you need not show that to any one. it becomes useless. but still valid.

For 96 percentile in jee mains paper2, it would be easy if you tell me your rank. The closing rank for SPA vijaywada is 1275. For getting NITs you need rank under 1500 for B.arch. You can check cutoff for different  colleges here.
