Deepshikha Student Expert 7th Jun, 2020
Hey,
The eligibility criteria of JEE Mains include that the candidates should have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 or equivalent exam or they must be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 examination. For SC/ ST, the eligibility is to obtain a minimum of 65% marks in class 12 or equivalent.
The top 20 percentile cut off marks is released separately for IITs and other institutes (NITs, IIITs and CFTIs) on the official site of Josaa. So, you are eligible for NITs.
The cutoff changes every year depending upon the number of candidates appearing in the examination, category etcetra. Since your percentile is 96.6, so your approximate rank is 29,546 which is good and you can expect good NITs.
You can use our college Predictor to know about your chances in different colleges:

Hope this helps.
Good luck.

sir I got 430 marks in state board which is less than 75% but I got 86.3 percentile in jee mains .will i get a chance in SRM INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 17th Jul, 2020
Hello,
Previously few seats were filled through SRMJEE and few seats were filled through direct entry for candidates with merit in class 12, with rank below 10,000 in JEE Advanced, state and central board top rankers and other meritorious sports persons. But now admission in SRM is based on merit in class 12 and SAT/JEE MAIN 2020 scores are optional. So the cut off cannot be predicted you need to wait until the result is announced because cut off depends on number of candidates applied, number of seats available in each campus, performance of students in boards etc. You have decent percentile in JEE Main but if your class 12 percentage is less than 75  there are very less chances of getting seat. But do not loose hope wait until the results are declared.

which board should i choose cbse or bseb for nift

SHUBHAM KUMAR 17th Jul, 2020

Hello Aspirant ,

You can pursue 12th board from any Board based upon your interest whether it is CBSE Board or BSEB Board. CBSE Board schools has same syllabus throughout India whereas BSEB Board schools syllabus is confined only to Bihar State. But  I suggest you to choose CBSE Board for pursuing your 12th board  because most of the all India entrance examination question papers are set by considering CBSE Board syllabus, CBSE ensures that its syllabus covers all the topics required for study and ensures a better understanding in the student. so, it is best to opt for CBSE Board for pursuing your 12th board .

Hope It Helps

agar m UK board s hu toh m jee mains k liye eligible hu or UK board wale ka DU or NDA m admission ho skta h plzz tell me fast

Anjali Anupam 16th Jul, 2020

Dear Aditya,

You can surely appear for JEE Mains examinations irrespective of their +2 boards, whether it is state board or central board.

As far as admission in DU is concerned, you can totally go for admission process. There is no specific boards requirement. All the students from state boards or central boards have equal chance, you just have to score above the respective cut-off percentage.

Coming to NDA , the criteria for army wing is that the candidate should have passed his/her +12 examinations from the central board or any state board.
