iamconfused for choosing zoology or botany for bscinbhu.Ifound myself that I lovegardening planting trees attached to nature.but being neet aspirant since 4 yrs I found that I can easily learn zoology since it deals with human bodyAndItIs interesting to learn the terms. On whatBasis WhichSubIChoose?

Raychel 23rd Oct, 2020

Dear Applicant,

How are you doing? I hope you are doing well.

You see science specially botony is a very interesting subjects. It deals with the knowledge of plants that includes the study of their structure, how they grow, how they can be effectively classified, the things that impact their development etc.

While zoology is more inclined to study the animal kingdom. It will include all the animals not just humans I hope you understand.

My suggestion to you is that choose something that you like. If you like gardening as a hobby you can always keep it as a hobby but if you think you want to do more than just planting trees go ahead and study botany.

Now you say you like to study zoology the definitions are fun. Understand this when you start to work you will have to start working with real beings too. Are you ready to do that ? because studying those definitions is different than what you are supposed to do.

Zoology is the specializes in study of animals both living and extinct

  • including their anatomy and physiology
  • embryology
  • Genetics
  • Evolution
  • Classification
  • Habits
  • Behavior and distribution.

My point is are you ready to apply that knowledge in your field of work. Are you ready to work with that. Ask youself these questions. If your 100 % sure study the stream or branch that you find interesting If you can find all this in 1 of those options you choose than take that subject.

Hope this helps

i have done simple bsc (zoology ,botany and chemistry ) Am I eligible for M.sc hematology

debolinadawn 20th Oct, 2020

Dear aspirant,

Hope you are doing well. As per your query hematology is the branch of medicine concerned with the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to blood. It involves treating diseases that affect the production of blood and its components, such as blood cells, hemoglobin, blood proteins, bone marrow, platelets, blood vessels, spleen, and the mechanism of coagulation. So if you have done your ug degree with subjects like zoology, botany and chemistry then you can face problems while studying hematology for your masters as you will not have the basic knowledge of the designated field. And the basic eligibility criteria for many universities for msc mlt hematology is a minimum bsc mlt or BSc in other clinical Biochemistry streams. Also it is different criterias for different universities. Mention your desired institute below so that I can help you out with the exact details. Also click on the link below for more information and updates. Hope you find this helpful. Thank you.

I am interested in both agriculture and botany, but I get confused ,in which field should I go .

Shreya sharma 19th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Hope you're doing well.

Since you are interested in both Botany and Agriculture, i'll just tell you about some pros, cons and the scope in both of these fields :

  • Botany : After bachelors in Botany, you can work as a technical assistant, scientific or even a field research in both the government and private sectors. Various environmental consultany groups and nurseries also hire botanists. You can also go on for Masters in botany or phD and become a professor/scientist and work for research and development in plants. Msc in environmental management is also a good option after it. An average bsc botany graduate ears around 4-8 lakhs per annum.
  • Agriculture: This field has a wider scope in government sector. Agriculture officer, research official, forest officer, assistant plantation manager, agriculture technician, agriculturists, business development executive, are some of the popular job profiles after bsc in agriculture. You can also go for higher studies to join research and development or even teaching. An average bsc agriculture graduate earns around 3-6 lakhs per annum.

Thank you
