, The Flavr Savr was made more resistant to rotting by adding an antisense gene which interferes with the production of the enzyme Beta polygalacturonase. The enzyme normally degrades pectin in the cell walls and results in the softening of fruit which makes them more susceptible to being damaged by fungal infections.

after completing your M.Sc botany you may go in fields like taxonomy, ethnobiology, pathology, palaeobolagy, and palynology , plant cytology , plant geneticists , plant ecology ,plant scientists and weed scientist etc , you can a lecturer or professor in degree college, you can work as researchers and as administrators , some of the employment areas are -drug companies, nurseries, biotechnology firms, food compaines, oil industry, fruit growers , national service park , seed companies.etc

First checkout your syllabus and down below in the syllabus there may be a section of books recommended or extra books . You can buy among those books .Further you can ask any professor which books they preferred or they use it by their selves  and then buy accordingly .I will suggest using pdf books or second hand books as you don't have to read it in your whole course .

As per my knowledge after comparing these two colleges I will give you advice to choose BSc  from botany from BHU . Because it is better than VKS college of agriculture in aspects of placements, infrastructure, faculty and other.

Odisha conducts CPET for admissions into various streams for PG from 2020. It's a common entrance test. So you have to appear CPET and give Ravenshaw as your 1st preference while filling up the form for the same.

There is no official website for previous years Botany question papers for Ravenshaw University.

hello aspirant,

you need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the course,

which is -

  • students should have passed B.Sc. (three years) Degree after 10+2 with Major/Honours in Life Sciences and any other related life science discipline/Biosciences/Botany/Zoology
  • B.Sc. General/Pass degree with Life sciences/Biosciences with Botany and Zoology (equal weight-age) as two of the three main Subjects.
  • At least 50 per cent marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade for General candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
