Hello Sumit , The Flavr Savr was made more resistant to rotting by adding an antisense gene which interferes with the production of the enzyme Beta polygalacturonase. The enzyme normally degrades pectin in the cell walls and results in the softening of fruit which makes them more susceptible to being damaged by fungal infections.

First checkout your syllabus and down below in the syllabus there may be a section of books recommended or extra books . You can buy among those books .Further you can ask any professor which books they preferred or they use it by their selves and then buy accordingly .I will suggest using pdf books or second hand books as you don't have to read it in your whole course .
