I am in my final year of graduation. i am a student of B.sc in botany hns and i want to do my M.Sc in Botany in FC college and i belong to Orissa. My graduation is under Berhampur university with an avg of 8.5 sgpa. Can i get admission in FC college and i want to know the process to get admissions ?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 1st Dec, 2019

Hello,

Yes you can do but you will get an admission under open category as you are going for institutes outside odisha.

At berhampur, berhampur University is quite famous. There is no other government college which provide Msc. For private college you have to choose NIST but that is private one.

Your qualifications are good but you have to take exam to get an admission. So take the exam and give your best. if your score is good then you will surely get an admission.

Hope it helps!

After B.sc Botany can i go for M.sc Agriculture?

Ronak Gala Student Expert 21st Oct, 2019

See there are very less universities which allow you to join for MSC Agriculture is you are a non agricultural student ie from BSC BOTANY. Assam Agricultural University Jorhat of lately has started incorporating non Agriculture background students in MSc courses specially in Agricultural Biotechnology department. For that you need to appear for an entrance test followed by an interview. Once you get enrolled you have to go through some basic courses in pure Agriculture called Bridge courses alongwith your normal courses in order to be at par with the Agriculture background students since they have spent four years in graduation instead of three as in case of yours.

Thankyou.
