Anirudh Bhat 9th Jul, 2019
Hi,
Usually for government colleges, the cutoffs for post graduation courses is unexpected and changes every year. survivor advise you to wait till the university releases their official list of the cutoff for various courses in your case masters in zoology and botany. as of now you cannot predict anything how the cutoff will vary or will it be the same.
Thank you

I guess the first step is determining whether you want to pursue a career in criminology or in general business, then choose the subjects accordingly.

  • Crime Scene Investigation
  • Cyber Forensics
  • Forensic Psychology
  • Forensic Chemistry
  • Forensic Biology
  • Analytical Chemistry
  • Instrumental Chemistry
  • Toxicology
  • Ballistics
  • Questioned Documents
  • Forensic Odontology

These are the major subjects in the forensic science.

Hope this helps you!

I am doing BSC in chem micro botany subj so which MSc course is better for me MSc in chem or MSc in micro for better career options?

Hello Nikita, hope you're doing good...

Well, both the subjects you mentioned have good scope and job opportunities in the near future, and better career options. So it's upto your interest and convenience that which subject you will choose. Well, in my opinion, doing M.sc in chemistry might be more beneficial but still it's your choice.

Hope this helps you out....

All the best:)

Bsc plane science with subject botany, chemistry, zoology what are the career options

eeshaakula_9673611 Student Expert 8th Jul, 2019

You need to have a master's degree in order to have a good professional life. Actually these courses are more theoretical oriented . So students do not get the proper industrial exposure, knowledge of practical applications and the required experience to flourish in these departments. Once you do a master's you are considered a knowledgeable person in your field. Then you may have the opportunity to start with a full time project or assist a professor on a project. Slowly working on these you build a strong set of knowledge and experience which helps you to build you career. A Phd in your domain boosts your potential a lot to further develop in science. It takes time and you need to be academically strong to clear all the exams and interviews at various stages in your life. It will take time and things may come slowly. But if you enjoy it you can really cherish every moment of yours studying or working.

Talking in terms of opportunities you can be a forensic expert, or placed in a pharmaceutical firm, may be in a PSU such as Indian oil, ONGC, Oil India. You may even go further to be a research scholar and taking yourself to next level to become a scientist.

I got 566 rank in cpget 2019 , in botany subject can I get seat in ou campus ,I have reservation SC, can I expect

srinja.006_9773413 Student Expert 16th Aug, 2019

Hello Deepthi.

Congratulations on securing this rank.

Osmania University has not yet released any cutoffs for 2019 counselling. No specific cutoffs of previous years are also available except the minimum cutoff marks required for being eligible for counselling, which is 25.

Now with my knowledge, you can try for MSC in OU but it might be tough for you as OU is one of the most sought after universities and there will be many more candidates with better ranks waiting for the seats. Belonging to a reserved category can be advantageuos.

I would advice you to find other alternative universities or colleges to keep them as backup.

I would also suggest you to participate in the counselling properly and wait.

Hope that helped.

All the best!

Is there any compitative exams after bsc in botany subject.

S. Saha Student Expert 6th Jul, 2019
There are many scopes after B.Sc Botany.
You can go for the integrated MSc+PhD program. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai every year conducts the exam for entry into this program. IISc Bangalore also offers integrated MSC+PHD.
A few people choose MBA, a few pursue MS in some other subjects.
Through competitive exam you can qualify for respected jobs such as Bank P.O., special officers in Bank, SSC, the prestigious Indian Civil Services, state civil services, CAPF (UPSC), CDS (UPSC) etc.
