i hv scored 62% score in science honourse paper bt overall percentage in all subjects of graduation i scored 58% so please tell me am i eligible for direct admission in ca course or not?

Akshita Dhiman 27th Jul, 2021

Hello aspirant,

Below are the eligibility criteria to pursue CA after graduation.

55% marks for commerce students and 60% marks for non-commerce students. After graduation candidates are eligible for direct admission to CA intermediate level.

So as per the eligibility criteria, you need to have at least 60percent if you are from a non-commerce background. Therefore, you will not be able to apply as you have 58% marks in graduation

I hope this information helps!

Thank you!

i m good with Accounts in my Bcom so can i pursue an career in pgdm in finance with no experience and no certification course bt i m good with account?

Akshita Dhiman 14th Jul, 2021

Hi there ,

PGDM is a 2-year post-graduate diploma in finance and acts as an alternative to MBA courses. Having a good knowledge of accounts is not all you need for PGDM in finance.

There are other aspects to this course as well. Candidates in this course are trained to know everything about finance from finance management to risk assessment.

Accounting, in general, is a narrow topic whereas finance has a wide-ranging scope. There will be additional topics and it is up to you how you manage them.

PFB the detail of this course and the topics that you'll be familiarized with: It is a general overview of the syllabus, this may vary from college to college.

Accounting System,

Cost and Management accounting,

Taxation,

Financial markets,

International finance,

Investment management

As listed below you also need to have strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Below are the eligibility criteria for PGDM.

  • Any Bachelors degree with at least 50 percent marks
  • Clear any one the entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT,
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

You are eligible, but you'll have to fulfill the above criteria.

Top Colleges that offer PGDM in finance are:

XLRI Jamshedpur,

IIT Roorkee,

IIT Kharagpur,

IIM Ahmedabad,

IIM Bangalore, and so on

You can also pursue this course in distance education mode. However, the duration of the course will be extended to 3 years in that case.

Alternatively, you also do a post-graduate diploma course in accounting . It is a one-year course and is available in both online and offline mode. This might also be a great option for you as you have a knack for accounts.

I hope your doubts are cleared!

For any further queries, please revert.

T hank you!

hello, I did bcom in distance learning and I received all the six semester marks cards bt my convocation certificate is getting delayd due to covid so can I apply for jobs ...will they accept me

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 25th May, 2021

hi,

see if you have final pass marksheet and certificate of b.com (//b.com) pass , then you are eligible to apply for relevant jobs application. convocation is usually late for many of the university, some times after declaring results, after 1-2 month , convocation taken place. in case you do not have the provisional certificate, you may take a xerox or photo copy of online certificate and duly signed by the head of the institute. this certificate would work until you receive your original provisional certificate.

hope you understand.

Sir I filled general ur in my SSC regi. form ,I found my admit card today of UR candidate, but i m ews candi., So now i have corrected my regi. , and filled there EWS, Bt i have a admit card ,in which UR category was filled.. So sir at a time of result I will treated as general UR or EWS candidate ?

aditya 19th Apr, 2021

Hello harshit

I hope you are doing good. As per your query ,I would like to know you that generally at the time of form filling the category you have mentioned cant be changed till the end of all the cut off procedures , it is not possible you will be treated as category which you mentioned. But you can do a thing after which might be possible they will consider you ews , at the time of 1st round you need to have submit undertaking with your ews certificate and give them the reason of lockdown for which you were not able to make the certificate . I am sure they will consider you and dont need to panic.

Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
