Hello,

The eligibility for CAT exam is as follows:

1. The candidate must have cleared bachelor's programme with minimum 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognised board or university.

2. The candidate must have completed a professional degree with required percentage.

3. Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor's degree/ equivalent qualification or awaiting result are also eligible to apply for CAT 2021.

i belong to maratha (SEBC) caste, so in CAT exam form which category should i choose?

anirudha vats 12th Sep, 2020

Hey

The SEBC  is a state level reservation provided to students and is not applicable for Central Reservations. But centrally I think you will fall under OBC category as both the categories are linked. For mare clarification you can contact the CAT helpline numbers or else kindly contact your city local body issuing the reservation certificate and get it clear from them whether they issue different OBC certificate applicable for central reservation or the SEBC certificate is the only OBC CERTIFICATE.

For your reference I have attached the link of the official website of CAT below,

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
