Don't worry, the improvement exam is just improve your marks. It won't effect your main marksheet or the result even if you fail in that.  The exam is for improving your marks by re-appearing for the exam, but if you failed in that exam don't worry it won't effect

Well you passed out your 12th exams in 2020 with 80% but already filled the improvement exam form for CBSE and got a less marks compare to older ones then your 2021 marksheet will be the final marksheet for your 12th.

As the name suggests. CBSE Improvement exam, it means that if you get marks higher than previously obtained marks then new marks will be added as your original marks  but if you get less marks, then original marks will be retained i.e. the higher marks out of the two

CBSE conducted the improvement examination in order to to enable candidates better scores than what they were awarded through internal assessment. If you get a score which is lower than the marks you are earlier had it will not be considered and you will retain the original marks.
