Hello Mona
As you are a Class 12th CBSE Commerce Student and have failed in Accountancy, you will be shown "PASS" as you have passed in five subjects including the additional subject (also, once check what is written on your result through CBSE result website).
The Accountancy subject will show "FAILED" or "INELIGIBLE".
It is up to you if you want to give supplementary exam and upon your future goals. Because in the future some organisations may ask for full PASS and while some may not.
Thank You!!!
You are allowed only one attempt to improve your marks in the year following your passing year of any board.
You can choose to appear for improvement in one or more subjects, but it's a one-time opportunity.
You cannot have pursued higher studies after passing your Class 12th exams to be eligible for improvement.
If you choose to appear for improvement, you'll be considered a private candidate.
Good luck..
Yes, you are eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.
You passed Class 12 in 2024 (CBSE) but didn’t meet the 75% requirement, so you reappeared through NIOS in 2025 and scored 75%. Since NIOS is a recognized board and you now meet the 75% eligibility, you’re allowed to appear for JEE Advanced in 2026. Also, JEE Advanced allows attempts in the year of passing 12th and the following year. So as long as you qualify JEE Main 2026 and are in the top 2.5 lakh candidates, you’re eligible.
Hello,
Yes, if you took your Class 12 exams in 2025, you can appear for improvement exams in 2026.
You can appear for improvement exams only once for the initial passing year. So, if you took improvement exams in 2026, you cannot appear again for improvement for the same subjects in the same initial passing year (2025).
Thank you!!

Hello Mihir,
You can take your Maths improvement exam this year (July), then wait and do your Physics and Chemistry improvement exams next year. However, be aware of the following:
Always check with your school or the CBSE regional office to ensure you have the most up-to-date information and to obtain official confirmation.
Hii,
Yes, if you failed your CBSE Class 12th in 2025, you can take the NIOS public exam in October 2025. NIOS accepts students who have failed to register for exams. You must be at least 15 years old and have completed Class 10th.
