It is up to you if you want to give supplementary exam and upon your future goals. Because in the future some organisations may ask for full PASS and while some may not.
Thank You!!!
If you passed your CBSE Class 12 exams this year and wish to improve your performance next year, here’s how many improvement exam attempts you're allowed:
Limit on Attempts You are eligible to appear for CBSE improvement of performance in one or more subjects in the succeeding year only. You cannot take these exams after a gap year if you have already pursued higher studies in the meantime
Number of Improvement Attempts You can attempt the improvement exam only once, in the year immediately following your passing year
According to the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced, the candidates must have appeared in Class 12th and scored 75% aggregate marks. For the first time, you appeared in the CBSE Class 12 board exam in 2024, and in 2025, you appeared in the 12th examination from the NIOS board and scored 75%. Since NIOS is a recognised board, and you fulfil the aggregate marks, you are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced 2026 .
Hi, there!
Yes, you can take your improvement exams in 2026 if you have appeared for exams in 2025. For example, if you want to appear for the CBSE improvement exam in 2026 for a particular subject, you can appear for the same in the next year. The improvement examination for a subject will be evaluated in the respective academic year.

Hello Mihir,
You can take your Maths improvement exam this year (July), then wait and do your Physics and Chemistry improvement exams next year. However, be aware of the following:
Always check with your school or the CBSE regional office to ensure you have the most up-to-date information and to obtain official confirmation.
Hii,
Yes, if you failed your CBSE Class 12th in 2025, you can take the NIOS public exam in October 2025. NIOS accepts students who have failed to register for exams. You must be at least 15 years old and have completed Class 10th.
Register on the NIOS website (nios.ac.in) before the deadline of July 2025. You can transfer up to two passed CBSE subjects. Pay the exam cost and submit required documents, such as your Class 10th certificate. Check the NIOS website for updates.

If you appeared for CBSE Class 12 exams last year and got compartment in one subject, then attempted again this year but ended up with compartment in three subjects, the marks from your latest attempt (this year) will be considered valid. CBSE always treats the most recent exam attempt as the final record. Your previous year’s marks are not carried forward once you reappear. To pass, you must clear all subjects in the current cycle. If not, you will need to reappear in the next compartment exam as per CBSE rules.
