Though this percentage differs greatly from one University to another yet the percentage of attendance for any course hardly goes below 60% in any college in India. In many colleges , there are strict rules regarding the percentage of students' attendance. Low attendance doesnt allow a student to appear for further examination. Though you can apply for IGNOU. Yes various coaching institutes provide preparation for CA CPT. It will be better for you if you prepare for this from now as CA is comparatively tough .

Charted Accountancy is always the Best choice to earn good Income. But now a days Clearing the Charted Accountancy Course and Securing a good Job has become very tough and many students are still struggling for years to Complete the Course. Unless and Until You are passionate and Confident about the CA course you can't clear it. 

Where as BTech is one of the Safest Platform to Set your Career. It is advisable to do BTech in good Reputated colleges. So that you will get placement easily and more opportunities will wave you. In my view Doing BTech in a IIT or NIT or good Reputated College is far better than CA . You can even  get high packages through Engineering if you are from IIT or NIT.

As you have completed class 12 with commerce. Whether you have taken maths ? If maths is one of your subject straight way proceed and focus on Chartered Accountancy. Rather than doing B.Com you focus on professional courses. The scope is unlimited and sky is limit. Company Secretary is also other course. Cost Accountant and many more.
