chemical engineering is one of the most versatile branch and is regarded as the universal branch though chemical engineers arent paid upto the par in india, whereas in usa it is the highest paid job.

It was established in 1969 and is one of the oldest Engineering branches in Manipal. It has got its reputation ( we have our own building :p ). 

I can say that Faculty is not 100% best, not more than 4 to 5 professors are good with their subjects.
