Hello, actually Iam getting metallurgy and material science in IIT madras and Kharagpur and also chemical engineering in IIT Hyderabad whereas mechanical and electrical in new IITs . Iam confused.Can any one suggest me .

Hi, if you are not sure of metallurgy and material science that this is what you want to do for the rest of your life than it is advised to not take up a branch that is very specialized. You can opt for more open branches like Mechanical, CS, IT.

Yes, definitely you can pursue M.tech chemical engineering or M.tech Biotechnology after Msc. Chemistry. Also, it depends  and varies from University to university too as every University has its set if rules and regulations. It will better if you choose the college or university you wanna puruse M.tech
