Yes Mathematics is compulsory by majority of University like IIT specifically and bITs Campuses.

Mathematics is important aspect for Msc and hence compulsory for majority of colkeges.

To do Msc Chemistry, you can give IIT JAM(is an annual entrance exam conducted by IIT as part of the admission to the various Postgraduate programmes offered by the participating IIT’s).

Folllowing is the eligilibity criteria for M.Sc. Chemistry-

If just to clear the follwoing Criteria even if you are taken math as an additional subject.

10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects (Biology/Biotechnology as additional subjects will be considered) in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized board.
