The dates may vary year to year but in previous year the registration started in the month of September and the exam held on December 27, December 28, December 29, and December 30, 2017.

Salt analysis or inorganic chemistry holds a good proportion in jee exam. But there's nothing to be worried about focus on the concept and you'll be able to get the answers right away.
