I have 63 in english, 45 in mathematics, 66 in physics, 54 in chemistry in class 12th , can I eligible for amueee btech entrance exam ?

Nikita shahi 23rd Jul, 2025

Hello,

Thanks for your question it’s important to clarify eligibility before applying to a competitive exam like AMUEEE for B.Tech at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

So here’s a clear breakdown:

According to AMU’s latest eligibility rules for the AMUEEE entrance exam, you should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as your core subjects and scored at least 50% aggregate in these three subjects combined.

Now, let’s calculate your eligibility based on your marks.

Your PCM average = (45 + 66 + 54)/3 = 55%, which means you are eligible.

Just make sure there are no individual subject minimums or board-specific conditions. Also, double-check the latest year’s AMUEEE prospectus because sometimes rules may vary slightly.

For full eligibility details and updates, check info here:

Good luck with your application!

B.s. chemistry students have future or not

Shubham Jha 14th Jun, 2025

Dear student,

Absolutely. A B.Sc. in Chemistry can lead to a promising career, especially if you build on it with further studies or skill development. Chemistry plays a vital role in areas like medicine, environmental science, materials, and industry , making skilled graduates valuable across many fields.

You can find roles in pharmaceuticals (like quality control or drug formulation), chemical industries , environmental agencies , R&D labs , forensic labs , and even the food and beverage sector. With experience or higher studies, you can grow into specialized or managerial positions.

For those interested in academia or teaching , doing an M.Sc. or clearing exams like CSIR-NET or GATE opens doors to research and university-level teaching jobs.

A chemistry degree also builds strong analytical, lab, and problem-solving skills , which are useful across both public and private sectors.

I have jam rank 1427 from general category. Can I get iiest shibpur for pg chemistry

Prachi Kumari 14th Jun, 2025

Hello,

Yes, with a JAM rank of 1427 in the general category, you have a fair chance of getting M.Sc. Chemistry at IIEST Shibpur.

In previous years, the closing rank for general category in M.Sc. Chemistry at IIEST Shibpur has gone around 1300 to 1400 in the last rounds. Since your rank is 1427, you are very close and may get a seat in the later rounds.

Make sure to:

  • Fill IIEST Shibpur as a higher choice while applying.

  • Take part in all rounds of counselling.

  • Keep some backup options too.

So, overall, your chances are good, especially in the later rounds.

Hope it helps !

I have a few questions about comedk 1. I have lost my test admit ticket for comedk 2. My PUC school hasnt issued an official marks card yet 3. I have taken PCMC in 11/12th can I enter computer science marks instead of chemistry? 4. I took PUC supplementary so should I say taken supplementary?

Prachi Kumari 14th Jun, 2025

Hello,

If you lost your COMEDK admit card , download it again from the official COMEDK website using your login.

If your PUC marks card is not issued yet, you can upload the provisional marks or a result sheet from your school.

Also, you must enter Chemistry marks. COMEDK does not allow Computer Science marks in place of Chemistry.

And, if you took the PUC supplementary exam, you should select “Taken Supplementary” in the form.

Make sure all details are correct before final submission.

Hope it helps !

Hello Everyone, I have scored the following marks in my 12th class. Physics - 48 ( Theory Practicals ) Chemistry - 46 ( Theory Practicals ) Bio - 64 ( Theory Practicals ) Am I eligible to give NEET ? And will MBBS colleges accept my admission with the above marks ? Do i qualify the MBBS admission criteria? Thank you in advance for answering my question.

OISHEE BANERJEE 13th Jun, 2025

Hello aspirant!

Thanks for sharing your marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Based on the details you gave, here’s a simple breakdown regarding your NEET eligibility and MBBS admission chances.

To be eligible for NEET, the basic rule is that you must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually in Class 12, and secured at least 50% marks in PCB combined for the General category. For OBC, SC, or ST category students, the minimum required is 40% in PCB subjects taken together.

Your subject-wise marks are:

  • Physics – 48

  • Chemistry – 46

  • Biology – 64

When we add them up:
PCB total = 48 + 46 + 64 = 158 out of 300, which is around 52.6%.

So yes, you are eligible to appear for NEET, and you also meet the minimum eligibility criteria for MBBS admission, assuming you’ve passed English and are from the General category. If you belong to a reserved category, your score is even safer.

That said, just being eligible is one thing—getting admission to an MBBS college will depend completely on your NEET score and rank. Government medical colleges usually require much higher NEET marks due to high competition, but private colleges or deemed universities might have lower cutoffs (though the fees are usually higher).

So yes, you can give NEET and your marks do qualify you for MBBS admission as per the eligibility rules. Your preparation for NEET will decide your real chances.

Wishing you all the best in your preparation!

Nikita shahi 10th Aug, 2025

Hello,

The Engineering Chemistry paper for ECET 2025 will test your understanding of fundamental chemistry concepts applied to engineering problems. While the actual 2025 paper will only be available after the exam, you can prepare by practicing previous years’ ECET Engineering Chemistry papers and mock tests. Common topics include atomic structure, chemical bonding, water technology, corrosion and its prevention, fuels and lubricants, polymers, electrochemistry, and environmental chemistry. ECET papers usually have multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with equal weightage for theory and numerical applications. The difficulty level is moderate, but time management is crucial. How many subshells are in chemistry

tanvi bansal 14th Jul, 2025

All the electrons having the same shall do not have the same energy. Based on the energy of the electrons, the shells are divided into sublevels or subshells. Each shell is composed of one or more subshells, which are themselves composed of atomic orbitals. There are 4 subshells, and each subshell can hold a specific number of electrons: s (2), p (6), d (10), and f (14).
