In NEET exam, questions for chemistry are taken from three sections.

Acxording to previous year NEET question papers, the classification of questions is as follows

  • 36% of questions were asked from physical chemistry(16 questions)
  • 28% of questions were taken from organic chemistry(13 questions)

In the neet exam 2021 conducted by the national testing agency a total of 45% of the questions are asked from the NCERT syllabus directly or indirectly.

I am coming to chemistry almost 50-60% of the questions are asked from the NCERT textbook.

You have not mentioned which board you are referring to so I am assuming you are talking about CBSE here. My answer will be based on the rules of CBSE board.

A candidate needs to score at least 33 marks out of 100 in each subject to pass.

Generally the government colleges in India doesn't allow this switch in the field of education when moving to higher studies. You can select the related field with which you are pursuing your bachelor's degree.
But there are many private universities which allow this kind of switch.
